Mabledon Court Hotel is back, refreshed, refurbished, and ready for guests from 27 July 2026.
The hotel has been temporarily closed while we’ve carried out a full refurbishment at 10–11 Mabledon Place, King’s Cross. It’s a property we’ve always been proud of: well located, sensibly priced, and a reliable base for guests arriving into King’s Cross. The work is done, and you’ll notice the difference.
If you’ve stayed with us before, you’re in for a pleasant surprise. If you’re new to Crown Group, this is a good time to book.
What’s Changed?
The rooms have been fully refurbished. New furnishings, fresh interiors, and a noticeably cleaner, more considered finish throughout. We’ve kept everything that worked well (the layout, the practicality, the ease of the stay) and improved everything that needed it.
We didn’t overhaul what wasn’t broken. Mabledon Court is still the same straightforward hotel in the same great location. It just looks and feels considerably better than it did.
Room Options to Suit Your Trip
Rooms at Mabledon Court are compact. That’s central London, and we won’t pretend otherwise. What you’re getting is a well-finished space in a great location, at a price that makes sense for the city.
Single rooms are a practical choice for solo travellers and business guests. Everything you need, without paying for space you won’t use. Early check-in is available on request, useful if you’re landing on a morning train into King’s Cross.
Double rooms are well suited to couples and weekend visitors. Comfortable, freshly finished, and close to everything you’ve come to London for.
Deluxe Double rooms offer a bit more space and a higher level of finish, a good option if you want a touch more comfort without stretching to a larger hotel.
Late check-out is available on request across all room types, subject to availability. Worth asking about if you’ve got an evening train or Eurostar to catch.
Why King’s Cross?
You’ll be about eight minutes’ walk from King’s Cross St Pancras, one of the best-connected transport hubs in the city. Six Underground lines run through the station: Circle, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan, Northern, Piccadilly and Victoria (Transport for London). Thameslink runs from nearby King’s Cross Thameslink, with direct services to Gatwick Airport and across south London. If your plans take you anywhere in the capital, you’re well placed.
For Eurostar passengers arriving from Paris, Brussels or Amsterdam, St Pancras International is the same eight-minute walk. For anyone coming in on the East Coast Main Line from Edinburgh, York or Leeds, King’s Cross is right there.
The area itself has changed a lot over the past decade. Granary Square and Coal Drops Yard are both within ten minutes on foot, with good restaurants, independent shops, and a stretch of Regent’s Canal that’s worth a walk before or after dinner. The British Library is almost opposite the hotel.

One thing worth knowing upfront: Mabledon Court doesn’t serve breakfast. There are cafés and bakeries a couple of minutes from the door, so it’s easy to sort on your way out.
